A clean circular badge carries the Order's full Latin name, PAUPERES COMMILITONES CHRISTI TEMPLIQUE SALOMONICI ("Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon"), based on the heading of the Templars' own Rule. It circles a small red cross pattée, with MCXIX · MCCCXII at the base. Founded in Jerusalem around 1119–1120, the Order was suppressed, not formally condemned, by Pope Clement V's bull Vox in excelso in 1312. The 1119 on the badge is the conventional founding year. Understated enough for every day, and a nice nod for anyone who knows the name. An independent design, not affiliated with any organization.
The shirt is the Bella+Canvas 3001: lightweight 4.2 oz. jersey in Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton, with side seams, shoulder taping, and a classic unisex fit. Solid colors are 100% cotton; heather colors contain polyester. It's pre-shrunk, and a little sheer in lighter colors.
Care: machine-wash cold, inside-out, on a gentle cycle; tumble-dry low or hang-dry; don't iron the print. Printed on demand when you order.
