Baucent Templar Banner T-Shirt – Beauséant

The Templars' banner, black above white, flies from a lance inside a round double-ring frame, drawn in fine engraving lines, with BAUCENT lettered across the top of the ring and the familiar later spelling, BEAUSÉANT, along the bottom. Two small red crosses pattée sit at either side of the ring. The Templars called their black-and-white banner the baucent, an Old French word for two-coloured or piebald; "Beauséant" is a later spelling. On black and navy shirts it prints in cream, and on natural and sand shirts in a deep brown-black, so the banner reads black over white on every color. It's a quiet piece that people who know the history will recognize.

The shirt is the Bella+Canvas 3001: lightweight 4.2 oz. jersey in 100% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton, with side seams, shoulder taping, and a classic unisex fit. It's pre-shrunk, and a little sheer in lighter colors.

Care: machine-wash cold, inside-out, on a gentle cycle; tumble-dry low or hang-dry; don't iron the print. Printed on demand when you order.
