Privacy policy

Last updated: September 27, 2026

Poor Knights Supply Co. ("we," "us," or "our") operates this store and website, including all related information, content, features, tools, products, and services (the "Services"). Our store is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services to you. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information when you visit or use the Services, make a purchase, or otherwise communicate with us. If there is ever a conflict between our Terms of Service and this Privacy Policy, this Privacy Policy controls how we collect, process, and share your personal information.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read it and understand how we collect, use, and share your information as described here.

Personal information we collect

"Personal information" means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you or another person. It doesn't include information that is collected anonymously or has been de-identified so that it can't identify you. Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect the following:

  • Contact details: your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, and phone number if you choose to give one.
  • Order information: the items you view, add to your cart, or buy (including design, size, and color), your order history, and any replacements, refunds, or cancellations.
  • Payment information: payments are handled through Shopify's secure checkout and its payment processors. We see limited details, such as the payment method, the last digits of a card, and whether the payment went through. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Account information: if you create a customer account, the information linked to it, such as your email address, saved addresses, and preferences.
  • Communications with us: anything you send us by email or through our contact form, such as a support request or photos of a damaged item.
  • Device and usage information: your IP address, browser and device type, and how you browse the store, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies (see "Cookies" below).

Where we get your personal information

  • Directly from you, when you place an order, create an account, contact us, or otherwise give us information.
  • Automatically, from your device when you visit the Services, including through cookies and similar technologies.
  • From our service providers, such as Shopify and our print partner Printful, when they collect or process information on our behalf (for example, shipping and tracking updates).

How we use your personal information

  • To fill your order and provide the Services: to process your payment, send your order to our print partner so your shirt can be made and shipped, send order and shipping emails, handle replacements and refunds, and manage your account if you have one.
  • To communicate with you: to answer your questions and provide customer support.
  • To keep the store safe: to provide a secure checkout and to detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or other harmful activity. If you create an account, please keep your login details to yourself.
  • To understand and improve the store: we use the analytics built into Shopify to see, in general terms, how visitors use the store, such as which pages are viewed and how many visits we get.
  • To send news and offers, only if you ask: if you choose to receive marketing emails from us (for example, by ticking the box at checkout), we may send you news about new designs and offers. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Even if you unsubscribe, we'll still send emails about your orders.
  • For legal reasons: to comply with the law, keep required business and tax records, respond to valid legal requests, and enforce our terms and policies.

How we share personal information

We don't sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the store:

  • Shopify, which hosts our store and checkout and processes information on our behalf (see "Our relationship with Shopify" below).
  • Printful, our print-on-demand partner. To print, pack, and ship your order, Printful receives your name, shipping address, your email address and phone number if you gave them, and the items you ordered. Printful handles this information under its own privacy policy.
  • Payment processors, through Shopify's checkout, to process your payment.
  • Shipping carriers, which receive your name, shipping address, and the delivery details needed to deliver your package and provide tracking.
  • When you ask us to, or otherwise give us permission.
  • For legal reasons or a business transfer: to comply with the law (for example, to respond to a subpoena or similar request), to enforce our terms and policies, to protect the Services, our rights, or the rights of others, or in connection with a sale or transfer of the business.

Our relationship with Shopify

The Services are hosted by Shopify, which collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve the Services for you. Information you submit to the Services will be transmitted to and shared with Shopify, as well as third parties that may be located in countries other than where you live, in order to provide and improve the Services for you. Shopify may also use information about your interactions with our store, along with information from other merchants and from Shopify, to provide certain enhanced features. When it does, Shopify is responsible for that processing, including responding to requests to exercise your rights over it. To learn more about how Shopify uses your personal information, see the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. Depending on where you live, you can exercise certain rights over that information through the Shopify Privacy Portal.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored on your device when you visit a website. Our store uses the cookies and similar technologies that Shopify provides to make the store work: to keep items in your cart, run checkout, remember your preferences, keep the site secure, and give us Shopify's built-in store analytics. We don't add advertising or tracking cookies from any other company. You can learn more about the cookies Shopify uses in Shopify's Cookie Policy.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you do, some parts of the store, such as the cart and checkout, may not work properly. Where the law requires it, we'll ask for your consent before using cookies that aren't needed to run the store.

Third-party websites and links

The Services may link to websites run by other companies. If you follow those links, please review their own privacy and security policies. We aren't responsible for the privacy or security of those sites or the information found on them, and a link doesn't mean we endorse them.

Children

The Services are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has given us personal information, please contact us using the details below and we'll delete it. We don't sell or share anyone's personal information for targeted advertising, including the information of people under 16.

How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy. How long depends on the reason: for example, to fill your order and handle any replacement or refund, maintain your account, keep business, tax, and accounting records required by law, resolve disputes, and enforce our policies. When we no longer need it, we delete it or de-identify it. Shopify and Printful keep information under their own retention policies.

Security

We rely on Shopify's secure platform and checkout to protect your information, and card details are encrypted during checkout and never reach us. Still, no security measure is perfect or impenetrable, and we can't guarantee perfect security. Information you send us by email may not be secure in transit, so please don't email us sensitive information such as card numbers.

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. These rights aren't absolute, may apply only in certain situations, and in some cases we may decline a request as the law allows.

  • Access / know: ask what personal information we hold about you.
  • Delete: ask us to delete personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct: ask us to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Portability: ask for a copy of your personal information and, in some cases, ask us to transfer it to someone else.
  • Opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising: we don't sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Where the law requires, we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a request to opt out. Other than Global Privacy Control, we don't respond to "Do Not Track" signals.
  • Marketing emails: you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.

US state privacy rights. Residents of some US states, including California, may have the rights listed above under their state's privacy laws, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

EEA and UK residents. If the EU or UK General Data Protection Regulation applies to you, we process your personal information to perform our contract with you (for example, to fill your order), to meet our legal obligations, for our legitimate interests in running and protecting the store and preventing fraud, or with your consent (for example, for marketing emails or cookies that aren't needed to run the store). In addition to the rights above, you may have the right to object to or restrict our processing, and, where we rely on your consent, to withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent doesn't affect processing that happened before.

How to make a request. Email us at poorknightssupplyco@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before we act on your request. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you; if you do, we'll ask for proof that you gave them permission, and we may need to verify your identity directly. We'll respond within the time the law requires. For information that Shopify processes, you can also use the Shopify Privacy Portal.

Complaints

If you have a complaint about how we handle your personal information, please contact us first using the details below. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to appeal our decision by contacting us, or to file a complaint with your local data protection authority. In the EEA, you can find a list of data protection authorities on the European Data Protection Board website.

International transfers

Our store is based in the United States. Shopify and Printful may store and process your personal information outside the country where you live, including in the United States. If your personal information is transferred out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on recognized transfer mechanisms, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the UK equivalent, unless the transfer is to a country recognized as providing an adequate level of protection.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes to our practices or for legal or regulatory reasons. When we do, we'll post the updated version on this page, change the "Last updated" date above, and give any other notice the law requires.
