Agnus Dei Templar T-Shirt – Psalm 144:1 Back Print (Natural)
A small Agnus Dei seal sits on the left chest: the Lamb of God with a halo, looking back over its shoulder, carrying a cross-staff with a pennon marked with a small cross. The legend + SIGILLVM TEMPLI ("Seal of the Temple") is recorded on Agnus Dei seals of the Templar Masters in England. It's an original drawing in a medieval seal style, not a reproduction of any surviving seal.
On the back, Psalm 144:1 is set in Latin and English: BENEDICTUS DOMINUS DEUS MEUS QUI DOCET MANUS MEAS AD PROELIUM DIGITOS MEOS AD BELLUM, and "Blessed be the Lord my God, who teaches my hands to fight and my fingers to war." The Latin follows the Vulgate, where the verse is numbered 143:1, so the shirt shows both numbers.
The Lamb of God appears on the seals of several Templar Masters in England. The pairing is deliberate: a lamb on the front and a soldier's psalm on the back, which is the tension the Order was built around.
